“Shades of Sage” is a visual exploration of the moment where stillness transitions into organic life. The piece is not intended as a depiction of a real landscape, but rather as an atmospheric translation of the process of ‘turning green.’ I am inspired by the untamed power of nature, forcing its way through even the coolest and most solid structures.
The cool gray and blue tones form a quiet, almost melancholic foundation from which the green pigments burst forth like a sudden breath.
